June CaraBox reveal!

June's CaraBox theme was "Take to me the Fair".

I thought this was a cute idea, and I LOVE going to fairs.
Not going to lie it's mainly for the food, but I also have a great time taking in all the sights and sounds.

I got to send a box Kat over at The Spot Where Lemon Rain Drops.
She's so creative and is a total sweetheart.
Go check out her blog when ya get a chance!

I received a box from McCall at Whatcha-McCall-It, and it was awesome!
First, I'd like to note doesn't she have the coolest name!?!
Well, her blog is just as cool.
She's funny, creative, and very thoughtful in which all were greatly reflected in the box she sent me!

She wrapped all of my goodies, and included a very nice and detailed note explaining why she choose all of the items she did.

McCalls dad owns a 55 mustang and they share a love of car shows.
It's one of the many events that takes places at the fair she attends and is one of her favorite things to do.
The nail polish was a just because she knew I liked getting my nails done thing, but I liked that it matched the car :)

She wasn't able to send me a Henna tattoo course so she sent me a roll of some other fake ones.
She and her friends would always hit up the Henna Tattoo tent and get the ugliest ones they could find lol.
I've honestly never gotten a Henna tattoo before, but I think it'd be pretty fun to do sometime!

This is by far my favorite item!
McCall's fair gives hot air balloon rides and although she's never been on it due to her fear of heights it's something she's always wanted to do.
McCall made this piece and will be opening up an Etsy store in July called Doodle All the Day!
I love getting original pieces like this, and I'm excited to check out her store when it opens.

Finally, and I found this quite amusing for some reason but there is a band called Abracadabra that plays at her fair every year.
They are an Abba cover band!
Honestly, I'd love to hear if they sound like them or not as lately I've heard several people talking about cover bands in their area and either say they sound just like them or they are terrible lol.
Although this isn't Abracadabra themselves I can dig the Abba CD...
I mean who doesn't love Dancing Queen!?

The sour patch kids were also thrown in there for good measure.

I think this was easily one of my favorite Cara Swaps I've done and I truly do appreciate the thought that McCall put into my items.
She even called me Queen Megan in the letter.
That girl knows the way to my heart I tell ya!

Have you guys ever participated in the Cara Box swap?
If not, you should head over to Wifessionals and join!
It's so much fun and you get the chance to check out new blogs and make some new friends!

Happy Tuesday!

April Cara Box Reveal: Going Green

Cara Box

This month to honor Earth Day the Cara Box swap theme was "Going Green" and I could not have gotten better partners!

I sent a box to Jackie @ Health, Love & The Pursuit of Happiness!
She's awesome, and has a really cute blog so go check it out!

The box that I received was from Ashley @ Wannabe Green and I couldn't have asked for a better partner if I tried.
It was great to get know Ashley, and I was able to share some of the "green" projects I wanted to take on with her.
She's educated on being green and has done many green projects herself so she was able to give me some tips, and information sites to reference.
Go check out her blog for some great green projects, crafts, recipes, and much more!

She sent me a great box with a good range of green items from garden items all the way to beauty!
Some of which can help me get some of my green projects rolling!

- Barnes & Noble e-gift card for my Nook!

-2 reusable bags
- garden gloves
- recycle green reflective stickers
- organic skin care items
- a little notebook made from recycled paper
- Daisy, Tomato, and Basil growing starter kits...
which I have already started.
Let's just pray they actually grow.

Thank you so much Ashley for all of my goodies!
I had a lot of fun getting to know you and look forward to getting to know you more in the future.

I have always had a great time doing the Cara Box swaps.
I've met some really great bloggers, and made some new friends!
I've learned new things from them and their blogs.

March Cara Box Reveal

Cara Box

What up everyone!
Have you guys heard of the Cara Box swap?
I had heard about it before but didn't really dig into what it was all about until recently.
I've gotten the chance to participate the last two months and I really love it.

You see cara (car-rah) means beloved friend and this swap is all about meeting new people and sending some encouraging items to the new friends in your life.
Also, because we all love to get stuff in the mail!
I highly encourage all of you to check it out and join in, it's a really good swap with an even better message and cause.

This month the theme was to send the person a box with items that started with the same letter as their first name, and of course it had to be things they liked!

I got to send a box to Laura Jean!
She's quite the adventurer and always has some thought provoking things to say, you should go check out her blog!
I loved getting the chance to get creative when it came to getting her "L" items.
It was a lot of fun!

I received a box from Samantha over Hooah and Hiccups!
She.is.a.doll!!!
Seriously, she is one of the nicest people I've met and exchanging emails with her has been like talking to a long lost friend.
We share some similiarites that brought us together easily but I've found it interesting getting to know her lifestyle as a military man's wifey!
I've know military families before but none that had to move from place to place, etc.
I love getting to make connections like these and hopefully it will carry through to a real life friendship :)

Samantha had to send me a package with "M" items and boy was she clever :)
  Here is where she sent....

Magazine
Mamba's - can I just say I'd never heard of these, at least I don't remember knowing about this candy, and I am in love! So addicting.
Metal bracelets!
Must-Have hair ties
and Manicure goodies.

I absolutely love everything that she sent me and appreciate the time and effort she put into it.
Thanks so much Samantha and Laura Jean for making this another great Cara swap for me!

Happy Thursday!

Cara Box Reveal - #ClubSexy

Cara Box

This month I participated in the Cara Box swap and I am so glad I did!
It was a fun swap, and a nice way to get to know other bloggers.

The person that sent to me was Melissa at A Mile in her Boots.
Go check it out!
She's a really sweet girl and her blog is too cute!
Since Kait decided to try and match people my states I at least knew I had living in Ohio in common, but that was the beginning!
I found out that Melissa and I have many things in common including the fact that she worked at my college, while I was there for a year!
I am pretty sure every time I meet someone new this world just gets a little smaller.

Since the theme was #ClubSexy the deal was to send each other things for the perfect date night. I didn't necessarily stick to that theme completely when shopping for my partner, but Melissa did a really good job picking out some items for me!

She got me some really cute spring color nail polishes.
A cute note pad, perfect for my forgetful brain to write things down on
Lavender bath salts.
A chocolate face mask. I am really excited to try this I haven't tried a chocolate mask before!
A little mani set, which I threw into my purse immediately!
Love coupons! A nice way to spice up things for Kev and I :)
A cute little mirror, and again it went into my purse right away!

Thank you so much Melissa for all my goodies! I can't wait to try them out :)

I am really digging this Cara  Box swap and the mission behind it.
Needless to say I've already signed up for next month!
