Photobucket

Dear Gunner,
You are so friggin' cute!!!
I love ya ♥

Dear Weather,
9 degrees...
Is this real life?
Now I understand it's January, but can we warm it up just a notch?

Dear Kev,
Thank you so much for taking me to Trans-Siberian orchestra again.
Even if the story was jacked up as hell the music was amazing and I loved getting to spend that time with you :)

Dear Winter TV,
I cannot wait until you get all of your shows rolling - another one of my favorite times of year!
These would include: Girls, Workaholics, Game of Thrones, Shameless, Bob's Burgers, The Walking Dead finally returns...and there are some new ones that I think I'll enjoy!

Dear Sarge,
You might be hyper as all get out, but you are also realllllly cute!
Yes, I did two letters to two different dogs...sue me.

Dear Ddubs,
Here's to another year of attached at the hip friendship & fun.
Love ya bestest.

Dear Me,
You need to really stick to your resolutions.
Some of them you are doing well on, others...not so much.
It will be difficult, but it will be worth it!

Happy Friday!

Friends

This weekend one of my best friends Lindsey and I (and our fellas) took our annual trip to see our other best friend Korie.

I've been great friends with these girls for several years and even with the distant from Kor I find an extreme comfort in their friendship.
The comfort of knowing each other so well, the comfort in expression our feelings to one another - even if we disagree, and a comfort in knowing they'll always be there.
I'm so blessed to have these girls in my life.

Happy Monday

Post-Thanksgiving & some other stuff

Hi there loves!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and weekend.

I can tell you this girl did :)

I had such a good time that I didn't up getting my camera out once.
Just didn't think about it between the talking, eating, and lounging.

Kev and I did host a Friendsgiving again this year, and I did happen to get a few shots of that!

Kev deep fried the turkey and we asked everyone to bring a side dish.
It was so good.
I can't say that I'm shocked but my friends make some bomb ass food people.

The fried bird.
So delicious.

I wanted to try Jenni's apple cider recipe, so I gave it a go.
I don't usually drink a lot of apple cider but I drank several cups of this.
It's the perfect mix with the orange, cloves, and cinnamon.
YUM!

The ladies of the evening :)

Ya diggin' Bill's creepy Mouvember stache? lol.
And Sarah is soooo happy with it.

Puppy party :)
This sums up the dogs feelings about my picture taking.
Walter is giving me the "Knock it off and gimme dat treat" face and Gunner wants nothing to do with it.

Craving up his masterpiece of a turkey.
I really can't get over how good it was...clearly because I keep saying it.

I mean that about sums up my Thanksgiving holiday.
It was a great few days of family and friends.
Kev and I are so lucky to have so many amazing people in our lives.

Now to the "Other Stuff"

Birchbox emailed me recently and asked if I wanted to participate in the Birchbox home addition.
Is that even a real question Birchbox?
Of course, I said yes!
Well I recieved the bad boy in the mail other day, and I'm pretty excited about all my new stuff.
It was a big ole box!

Prep:

 Season:

 Play:

 Entertain:

Make:

The whole thing was less then $60.
I am pretty happy with everything I got.
How cute are those recipes cards and Paperless Post greeting cards?!
I've already set out the the Prosecco home fragrance, and it's amazing!
I am not sure I'd get this every month just because I don't always have the space for these little things, but I'd get them every few months to try out some new stuff!

What do you think?
Would you get the Birchbox Home Edition?

Happy Monday!

My Best Friend's Birthday :)

Today is my best friends birthday.

I think we all have those friends that feel more like siblings.
You know you will be life long friends!
That would easily describe Danielle and I.

It was one of those friendships that just clicked.
Danielle and I were in the same sorority.
Kev and Jason were in the same frat.
Hanging out together was easy.
Growing as close as we have was even easier.
I've had some of the best moments with her.
Of course, there are many more to come :)

She's an amazing wife to Jason and a fur baby mama to Hannah.
She's a devoted family girl overall!
She loves laughing, and enjoys a good comedy.
She's classic both in style and even in nature (she's very lady like).

Danielle keeps me grounded a bit.
Calms me down in moments of rants.
And actually most of the time joins in with me which really is a lot better than being calmed down.
Both our husbands hate that...just ask them!
I think sometimes I can bring out a bit of fire in her since I get riled up so easily.

Danielle is a sweet person with a big heart and a quick wit.
Like me she can be emotional.
We enjoy our TV shows, and shopping is our forte.
Danielle's ambition really exceeds many people I know and is something I greatly admire.

I really couldn't ask for a better best friend.
 Happy Birthday Nighthawk!

Denver

This weekend I got the pleasure of going out to Denver, along with some other girls from high school, to see our friend Katie who lives out there.
Let me tell you what folks. It was an AWESOME weekend. These girls are the type that I don't have to see...or I suppose even talk to for awhile and everything is back to the same. You know what I mean, I think we all have at least one person like that. I am lucky enough to have several!
The first night we were there we walked to dinner. The path lead us along some artsy parts of town. They have some of the coolest art out in the public!

We went to dinner at the Wynkoop Brewing Company.
It's one of the many micro breweries in Denver, and it was delicious!

They had "Trains" which was just a series of beers you could try based on the types.
For example there was a "different & unique" and there was a Summer series, etc.
We ordered two and shared all around :)

I don't even think the food needs an explaination!
So. Good.

The girls.
From left to right, Katie, Nicole, Jenn, and Ashleigh.

On Saturday we decided we wanted to go for a hike in Boulder.
We went to Mount Santina Trail.
Boy were we in for a treat!
None of us, expect Katie who is the one that lives there, was prepared for that thin air, and steep incline.

There were many breaks along the way.
We were all winded, and very thirsty from the start.
But that's ok because there were awesome views!

Like this one :)

The sky was so blue.
It was grogeous!

We finally made it to the top!

It was super tough, but we all felt very accomplished.

Those of you from bigger cities have probably seen these, but for you that aren't, you can rent these bikes to get around town from place to place.
You are able to pick up them, and drop them off at any station.
Pretty neat huh?!

After the hike we went into Boulder for something to eat, and to walk Pearl St.
It was a neat little area with cute shops, and lots of people walking around.

There were all kinds of street performers!

On our way back into Denver.
There was a baseball game going on so there was quite a bit of traffic...clearly.

That night we decided to make some snacks and apps for dinner.
It was an AWESOME girls night in, and we did what we did best.
Ate, talked, and laughed!

The next day we decided to take advantage of the weather, and the bikes I mentioned above.
We use to ride bikes all over our hometown!
Literally.
Eveywhere and all the time.
It was nostaglic for all of us, and yet again so much fun!

We went to eat at Snooze.
It's this great breakfast and brunch place that only used organic ingreidents.
The recipes are made from scratch, and the produce and meat are hand picked from local farms.
They are clearly, a very enviromentally friendly and health concious place.
You gotta try it if you go to Denver.
After breakfast we rode the bikes to another little street filled with remaining farmers markets and cute little boutigues.
We found little baby seats and couldn't resist :) However, we continued to sit there for another 30 mins.

For dinner we went to dinner at a taco restaurant called Margs.
They have amazing margaritas and tacos.
What is cool is that you could get a 2 or 3 taco meal where you could pick from this long list of taces.
There was pork, fish, caperese, chicken.

I think the most important part of this trip wasn't really caught on camera though.
It was so good to see these girls, and I had so much fun.
The older I get the more I realize how lucky, and actually rare we are in having maintained our friendship.
I'm not the greatest at staying in touch with others, but I truly feel like the quote from above is my group of girls from home!
They are all amazing, smart, hilarious, and kind.
They made this weekend unforgetable!

Happy Tuesday!
