A Pinteresting Me, Myself, and I

Who else is ready for the weekend?
I sure pretty much all of you are feeling the pain of the work week before a few days break, like me.
My brain has been functioning like its a Friday week...
The preholiday work brain lag...
It's no good my friends, no good at all.

I digress.

I am very happy it's hump day and I get to do two link ups today!

1) What was your favorite gift given to you as a child?
I have always been blessed enough to get great gifts every Christmas, but I think my favorite was my little Red Corvette!
I mean check that sucker out?!
I had that thing for years and still have memories of driving it around the yard...
probably running over my sister at some point...ya know normal kid stuff lol.

2) Christmas is almost here, what is that one Christmas song you could listen to on repeat?
I always get shit for this because it's sounds funny but I LOVE Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
I could listen to any of their Christmas music on repeat.

However, I also greatly enjoy Michael Buble's Christmas CD and of course the classic Mariah Carey Christmas CD.

3) What are a few of the items on your Christmas list this year?

I've been loving, really any, Michael Kors watch.
I'm not sure what is it about these watches, I just love 'em!

Nail polish.
Oh, don't act surprised you know I'm obsessed!

If you've been following along for awhile you know I'm not the cook of our home, hopefully that changes with the Knife Skills class I've asked for from Sur La Table
I'm gonna be chopping and dicing like a Iron Chef...
I just pray I'm not chopping any phalanges in the process!

A nice camera bag from Jo Totes
I have a generic camera bag, but I wouldn't mind something trendy, especially if I'm going to continue to haul the thing around on vacas and stuff!

4) Do you and your family have any special holiday traditions? Explain.
I would say the only one we really have is the "hide the pickle" tree ornament tradition.
Nothing to crazy, but it's fun!

If you don't know what this is it's as simple as leaving the pickle ornament out with the milk & cookies for Santa, and when he comes he hide the pickle in the Christmas tree.
Whoever is the first one to find it in the tree in the morning gets to open his or her present first, or really whatever you want to have happen for whoever finds it first.
*just remember to not grab it too quickly since I highly doubt you want to bring down your tree, or have them break the ornament in their hands*

5) Which do you prefer: wrapping paper or gift bags? Why?
Hmmmm this is tricky because I like both for different reasons, but if I have to pick one I will say wrapping paper.

Why, because it tends to be prettier than doing gift bags, and because I'd rather rip open a present.
That's the whole fun right?
However, you'll find me using gift bags WAY more often because I'm terrible at wrapping gifts.
I'm not sure how some people can wrap presents so nicely, but it makes me jealous!

Happy Wednesday!

Two for Tuesday!

This week at work is kicking my butt due to the shortened work week.
It's one of those catch 22's of the work world I tell ya and at the moment it's not so fun.
I'll be singing a different tune come Wednesday at like 3:00 when I'm busting outta this joint, but until then I'm going to whine a little lol.

First up, Me, Myself & I with the cuz and some of her lovely ladies :)

What are your top five movies to watch during the holidays?
1. Christmas Vacation

2. Elf

3. Christmas Carol (I actually love the Muppet's one)

4. Home Alone (the 1st & 2nd)

5. The Grinch

What are you most thankful for?
I am thankful for a lot of things but I would say overall the people in my life.
Without them I would be nothing and have nothing!

If there was one verse or quote to describe your life, what would it be?
Can I have two?

This is probably "my life motto"

because it's true.
Maybe it's not the whole world, but it's will be someone's world...

And this would probably be what I would apply to my life the most...

I am always learning new things about myself and changing. I have flourished into what I am today, but I still have a ways to go...

Who in your family are you most alike?
Hmmm...I guess I would have to say my mom. However, I know I share many characteristics with my dad too. I get told I'm like both by different people all the time so who really knows?

What is your favorite drink order at Starbucks?
As if you don't know this already! Pumpkin Spice Latte and Peppermint Mocha! Yum!

Next up....

Leslyn's Lovely Life

I've decided to join this lovely little link up because I haven't talked music much in awhile.

Most of you it's one of my all time favorite things and I have some new grooves that I'd love to share.

Starting with this little diddy :)

Instant love I tell ya.

Happy Tuesday!

Me, Myself, and I

1) What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?
Hmmm..there are lots of things I would pursue if I knew I couldn't fail.
Here are my top 5:
1) Even though I hate it I'd probably go into politics to try to change somethings.

2) I really want to do this, but if I knew I couldn't fail it'd make it a LOT better.
Start that no kill animal shelter and be able to house lots and lots of dogs.

3) Dance.
I'm not sure it'd be ballet, but that would be sweet to be a bad ass dancer of some kind.

4) Be an entrepreneur like Les Wexner.
Pretty much own a city, be the head of a billion dollar company, and be able to give back to my community in a huge way!

5) Be an OBGYN.
I think I could do this and not fail.
The problem lies in the fact I could never detach myself the way I would need to in order to keep my sanity.
    2) If you had only six months left to live, what would you do with the time?
    Easy.
    Travel with Kevin.
We'd go to my house for a little bit, but then we'd head out of the rest of the world.

    3) If a front page news article was written on you, what would the headline be?
    Oh jeez.
It'd probably either have to do with my overeating to the point of death, or saving animals.

    4) What is your biggest pet peeve?
    Ignorance and bad drivers
    5) What is your favorite chick flick movie?
    I gotta list one?
    Ya know.
I wouldn't pick chick flicks as my favorite genre.
I'd much prefer a good thriller, or action movie.
I'll also add that I only watch most chick flick once, but since this is the question...I'll roll with it :)
You are going get 5 again.

    1) The Notebook

    2) P.S - I love you!

    3) The Sweetest Thing

    4) Steel Magnolias

    Me, Myself, and I

    Good morning,

Today I'm linking up with the cuz and four other lovely bloggers for a new link-up! I think you should come and join the fun too :)
I'll be including my weekly Tuesday quote in the post :)

    What is your biggest phobia?
Thanatophobia: the fear of Death or dying.
Source: google.be via Megan on Pinterest
...guess I'm not one of those well-organizesd minds =/

If you could relive any day of your life, what would it be and why?
    Easy.
    My wedding day.
I think the why reason is pretty clear :)

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
Honestly, this one. 25. It's a good age.
Old enough to have gone through some life experiences and gain some knowledge, yet young enough to still be a little "wild" lol. Not sure I'd get called that but I can't say fun because I know some older people out there that have some serious fun :)

Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
    Ha! None.
I often to get the "You look familiar" or the "You look just like my friend, aunt, etc."
Source: i48.tinypic.com via Mrs on Pinterest
    Lol. I'm sure this would get'em :)

What songs are included on the soundtrack to your life?
Ugh. I am terrible at this question. So here are just a few that I could think of:
Send me on my Way - Rusted Root
With a little help from my friends - The Beatles
Under the Sea - from the Little Mermaid
This Years Love - David Gray
Dance with Somebody - Whitney Houston
Good Life - Kanye and Lil John
    Love on Top - Beyonce

    Happy Tuesday!
