36 weeks!

 How far along
36 weeks!

Best moment this week?
I've had another amazing baby shower and really with that being complete it really hits home that we only have about 4 weeks left until BabyO arrives!

We had maternity pictures taken this last weekend.
Ashlee from Ashlee Layne Photography took them and gave us (and facebook) a little teaser!
I cannot wait to see the rest! I seriously think I've been checking my email like every hour to see if she's sent us the link.

We've gotten our pediatrician and daycare on locked down. Finding a ped. was one of those things I honestly didn't think about until someone mentioned it to me.

Having the OB tell us that we'll be talking about labor and what not at our next appointment is really exciting...and slightly scary. I can't say that I'm super nervous about labor but that fact that I have no idea what to expect is a little scary.

Maternity Clothes?
Oh yes!

Stretch Marks?
Still none!

Movement?
Lots and lots of movement but you can definitely tell baby is getting a lot more squished.
We are pretty much to the point of just pushing instead of kicking.
BabyO has also found what seems to be a very comfy spot for him/her in my rib cage. It about kills me and my ribs are pretty sore in this one spot but I suppose baby's gotta do what baby's gotta do.

 Food cravings?
Anything sweet really. This ranges from fruit - desserts.

What I miss:
Nothing new really. Knowing I'm almost to the end of pregnancy really has deterred my thoughts from missing things like sushi and beer to the fact our baby will be here anytime now!

Symptoms?
My hands have become swollen. Not crazy, and probably not noticeable to anyone else but I can no longer wear my wedding ring.

I've been eating less and a little more out of breathe lately because baby is growing there is less room for everything else in there.

Workouts:
Shoot just getting up and cleaning somethings around the house has become a work out in the last couple of weeks.

Gender Prediction?
Being so close to the end I'm going to just throw it out there.
This entire time whenever anyone has asked my initial thought has been boy.
However, I do realize that I really have no idea and none of the "myths" out there about gender prediction has helped sway my thoughts one way or the other.
I have not allowed myself to really think for sure that baby is a boy or girl because I don't know and either way I'm going to be extremely happy once they make their arrival!

Sleep?
Beh, it's hit or miss.
Some nights I can sleep pretty well and it's probably because I'm so tired from the other nights I don't sleep.
Other nights I'm tossing and turning quite a bit.

What I'm looking forward to?
BabyO being here. That's really all I want at this point in time!

Wisdom or other thoughts?
When they say the second trimester is the golden trimester they were not kidding.
I've been blessed to not have experienced many of the "negative" effects of pregnancy but I did not miss the fatigue that I'm back to feeling and although the movement is quite incredible it can also be really uncomfortable at times. There are times when I miss the quick jabs and somersaults compared to the constant pushing on the rib cage...or worse, bladder. Oy!
However, with that said I think I've been the most excited in the third trimester because I know that he/she is almost ready to be here and I CAN'T WAIT (if you didn't catch that already...)

Happy Friday!

24 week bump date

How far along?
24 weeks.
BabyO is the size of an ear of corn...

Best moment this week?
Since I don't do this every single week I think there are a lots of moments over the last four that have been really awesome.
Kev got to feel the baby move a couple weeks ago. I had to push his hand in a bit but he still got to feel it, which was exciting for the both of us!
Feeling the baby move a lot more has been wonderful. The jab, jab, upper cut feeling is making me wonder if we're going to have a little boxer on  our hands.
Kev put together the crib for me yesterday!!! He surprised me and it made me so excited!!
Maternity Clothes?
Absolutely!
There really isn't to much that I can fit to my non-maternity wardrobe, if anything.
I've even moved on to wearing Kev's t-shirts to bed instead of mine.

Stretch Marks?
No.
Thank god for Earth Mama body butter & stretch oil

Movement?
Oh yeah, quite a bit!

Food cravings?
Not really no.

What I miss:
Not to much currently!

Symptoms?
Mainly a lack of sleep.
It's been more difficult to get and stay comfortable.

Workouts:
I've been going to yoga the last couple of weeks and I love it!!
I would highly recommend yoga regardless of if you are pregnant or not, but I will say that prenatal yoga has already helped me feel more comfortable and even a little bit more prepared for the delivery.
On top of the class I've also been doing this yoga DVD at home!
*I'm just warning you now, the instructor on the DVD is a little hokey but it a pretty good workout.

Gender Prediction?
Still don't really have a strong feeling one way or the other.
I have started to call BabyO he and she though randomly instead of just "babyo".
Some people seem to have stronger feelings about it though and I am  hoping to do some of the "guessing tests" this month...ya know like the string over the belly, the myths quiz, etc.

Sleep?
Again, sleeping hasn't been to wonderful.
I'm getting enough to get me through a day but that's about it.

What I'm looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to feeling more movement and Kev, and in all honesty others, getting to feel it too!
We have a whole bunch of stuff happening in November that I am looking forward too: Kev & I's birthday's, my cousins wedding, and a family vacation to South Carolina.
Baby showers! They won't happen until December but we got the invite list and what not around for one and it just makes me excited for them to get started :)
The holidays! I can't believe that November is like right around the corner and I know as soon as the holidays start to hit time is going to fly and we'll be even closer to BabyO's arrival!

  Wisdom or other thoughts?
I honestly wish that I could stay in the second trimester for a little while longer.
Granted I haven't experienced the third to really know what it's like but I feel like right now I am getting to enjoy all the "picturesque" things about pregnancy like having a serious bump, feel movement, and having energy without starting to feel uncomfortable because baby is really starting to get squished in there.

I am really excited for people and even myself to really start to feel the movements on the outside because it's such a cool thing to feel.

Happy Friday!

20 week bump date!

Is it bad that I woke up yesterday morning with Bon Jovi's halfway there stuck in my head?
Part of me is absolute shock that it's been 20 weeks and we are halfway through this pregnancy while the other half of me is so ecstatic because I know that means we are only about 20 more weeks from meeting our little one!
If time flies it has been it'll be here before we know it!!

How far along?
Welp, 20 weeks :)

Best moment this week?
Oh this is so easy! We got an ultrasound this week and finally got to see BabyO.
Well, BabyO looking like a baby, and not just sort of a little tadpole.
Everything is looking good and the growth is right on schedule.
I think the best part was actually getting to watch him/her move!
The arms were going crazy and we even saw his/her mouth open and shut a couple times (won't lie, that was kind of weird...but so cool!!!)

Maternity Clothes?
Yep! Mostly when it comes to my pants/leggings but I've recently started to switch my shirts because my bump is actually getting to the point where I need to.

Stretch Marks?
None yet, and let's hope that continues to be the answer.

Movement?
Yes, a fairly decent amount of fluttering but we found out in the ultrasound that my palcenta is in front of baby so it's created a little bit more extra cushion between me and baby so that's probably why I feel most of my fluttering towards my sides where it's legs and head are.

Food cravings?
I would say that all food sounds delicious but my craving for sweets has been much higher.

What I miss:
Sushi.
I really miss this actually...but that's about the only thing really!

Symptoms?
Well a growing bump!
Still not sleeping the greatest but that is mainly due to my most recent symptom...
HEARTBURN!!!
I've pretty  much had consistent heartburn since last Thursday and I'm currently trying out different ways to alleviate it without meds (other than Tums!).

Workouts:
Been doing some walking here and there but I'm really excited to start a yoga class in a couple of weeks!
I did get a yoga video as well that I am going to start doing at home more often.
I've been researching some other workouts for home for during the winter season.

Gender Prediction?
I don't know why but lately I've been feeling like it's a girl.
Granted, I have no idea and I am not sure why I'm feeling that way but I am.
I want to do a few of the gender prediction tests soon since we aren't finding out and then start a poll with family and friends!

Sleep?
HA! What sleep?

What I'm looking forward to?
Oh gosh, dang near everything right now.
The fact that we got to see baby and I'm half way there has just made my excitement grow even more!
I think the things I'm really looking forward to though is feeling the first big kicks/punches and getting the nursery set up and ready to go.

 Wisdom or other thoughts?
-My body has been going through so much it's never been through before and each time I notice a change I find it amazing that my body just knows what to do!

-Heartburn really sucks!

- I seriously cannot wait until Feb. I know it's so far away (although the first half went SO fast) but I am so excited to meet BabyO!

Happy Friday!

17 Week Bump Date & I need some momma knowledge!

 How far along?
17 weeks!

Size of Baby:
BabyO is the size of an onion...
or if you are like me and prefer Kaitlyn's daddy growth chart, because it's awesome, BabyO is the size of a roll of toilet paper!

So what has been going on this week?
The hubs, friends and I all went to the Gentlemen of the Road tour this weekend and had a blast!
Monday was spent at a fish fry at Kev's cousins house and then we headed over to Erica and Brady's for hang out time.
Not only do I love hanging out with them but I get to see Harper. I've mentioned her on here before but check out how much she has grown!!!

Isn't she beautiful!
{photo by: NicoleKidwell Photography}

Well this week has gone quite quickly thanks to Labor Day on Monday.
This has been good and bad as work days have gone quick but almost to quick.
Other then that Kev and I have been trying to get some of our to-do list taken care of!

Maternity Clothes?
Some but not everything yet.
There are still shirts of mine that I can wear and even then I probably could wear my pants but the whole hair tie pant thingy is just not working for me so I'm been wearing leggings and maxi's on the reg.
I also wore my first pair of maternity pants this week, which again I don't think is necessary, but can I just tell you how comfy I was!

Stretch Marks?
None yet and hopefully never!

Movement?
Not anything that I can verify is truly a movement.
It's really hard to know what to feel for when you have no idea what it's going to feel like.
Although I've been assured that I'll know so I suppose I can say that no, I haven't felt anything yet..

Food cravings?
All food, all the time.
I've been getting hungrier and hungrier as the days pass.
The only thing I really don't wanna eat still are burgers, but even then I'll eat it if it's put in front of me.

What I miss?
Nothing to much overall.
I can't say that I haven't had my moments of missing getting some sushi or having a beer though.

Symptoms?
 - Welp, I'm definitely starting to show and I'm super excited.
Makes it feel that much more real and I know we are getting closer to things like major movement.
- I've been having some tummy growing pains. Nothing that hurts to bad but it's been some mild aches here and there.
- My energy level is fairly low still, but I'm trying to be as productive as I can despite the fact that I just wanna lay down and nap.

Best moment this week?
- We bought the nursery furniture and I ordered the bumper and bed skirt, things are getting underway and I can't wait until it all comes together!
- Last week we did get to hear the heartbeat at our appointment which was so exciting!
I also bought a fetal doppler so I'm excited to get that thing cooking and hear baby whenever I want.

Gender Prediction?
None for me but people have definitely said what they've thought.
However, we've gotten both boy and girl so it's hard to say because it's been fairly even.
I have ever intention of starting a poll with family and friends for something fun to do since we aren't going to be find out what BabyO is!

Sleep?
It's been rough.
Some nights are just fine while others are completely restless.
My weird dreams have subsided for the most part so there isn't really anything in particular that is keeping me awake, I just am.

What I'm looking forward to?
I'm looking forward to our next appointment because we will get another ultrasound and actually get to see something more than just a blob.
Not that I didn't love baby when it was blob but I'm looking forward to seeing a little profile, arms, legs, etc.
I'm also looking forward to using the doppler as I mentioned :)

Momma Knowledge outreach!
I'm in the process of getting ready to set up for a registry (or 2) and would love some insights into products and some tips and tricks for making the registry process easier.
1) What kinds of items like strollers, car seats, bassinets, etc have you guys found to be the best (if any) and what would you stay away from?
2) Anything that is listed on all registry checklists that you really just don't need.
3) Did you register for things like a high chair even though you aren't going to need them for a little bit?
4) Any suggestions on what stores I should or should not register at and any tips or tricks to make the process go more smoothly?
HELP ME MOMMA'S!!!

Happy Friday!

14 Week Bumpdate!

 Due Date:
2/13/2014

Gender:
Don't know, and I might as well just say it now we are not finding out!
Honestly, this has been like my most favorite thing to get a reaction from...some people think we are crazy and others love it.
Did you find out what you were having?
What do you think of us not finding out?

Movement:
None yet, but my mom keeps telling me to wait for the "flutter".
I feel like there has been once or twice I made it up in my head I felt it but I don't think I really did.

Feeling:
I'm feeling awesome, minus being quite tired by the end of the day.
Wish that energy would pick back up!

Food Cravings:
Pickles!
So cliche but I've been craving and eating them on the reg more than anything else.

Food Aversions:
There isn't really anything that's made me sick but I think burgers sound disgusting!
And it doesn't seem to be the meat part because tacos and what are not are just fine.

Clothes:
Oh this has been a little point of frustration the last week.
I'm at the point where I don't think I'm quite ready for certain maternity things like pants but I'm not really fitting into my current pants either. Beh!
Maxi dresses and leggings have become my best friends!

Stretch Marks:
None yet, and I just ordered some of the Earth Mama Angel Body Butter that Kaitlyn recommended so hopefully none!

Sleep:
I have not been sleeping all that well overall but I wasn't much of a sleeper to be begin with.
I'll blame the lack of sleep on the weird friggin' dreams I have!
If there is one thing you don't hear about pregnancy that will affect you it's the dreams.

Symptoms:
Well there is the lack of sleep.
I'm getting the growth aches and pains a little bit.
Annnd I'm eating everything in sight lol, or not everything but I'm eating more then I ever have before.
I will defend myself is saying even though I'm eating more I'm also eating healthier so it all balances out right!?

What I Miss:
Caffeine.
I am really craving a good ole Pepsi but I know I need to stay away even though they say you can have some caffeine because I'll just want more.
I'd also be lying if I didn't say sushi, I miss my rolls :(

Best Moments:
Getting to tell everyone finally!
Family and close friends have known for awhile but I think everyone has been ready to spill the beans for weeks!

Memorable Moments:
 ~ Finally starting to show!
I feel like within a week I have popped and really it only goes up from here.
Makes it all seem that much more real.

~Getting out of the first trimester.
Ummmm, where did time go?

~ Kev and I have started to get into the swing of nursery planning.
We have a theme and have started to hunt for cribs and other items.
Any crib suggestions are definitely welcome because there are so many options I've a bit overwhelmed!

Happy Friday!
