Who doesn't love a good card?

So work has been absolutely crazy the last few weeks and I had every intention of giving you guys a weekend update but that just ain't gonna happen right now.

So instead I'm going to give you a little insight to my love for cards.

That's right, cards.

Now I am not someone who really sends cards out for the fun of it or really even for special occassions unless I really feel like I should but I am someone who loves to find the perfect card for a person especially birthday's.
You all probably know what I mean because I can't be the only one that reads pretty much every single card in the store and think, "Oh this would be perfect for hubs, or this friend, etc!"

Welp, I advice you to look no further because I've come across a great card website, no thanks to one of their lovely employees reaching out to me.
It's called Cardstore and I'd say it's easily one of the best online card shops I've found.
The best part about this store is that you can completely personalize a card to be the way you want it!
Now when I say personalize it to make it your own I really mean it.
I'm talking adding your own pictures and your own wording whether it's a simple quote or a novel to a best friend that you miss.
However, I think it's also important to note that for those of us who are a little less creative overall or who just simply want to quickly pick a card they do have pre-made cards with the front and inside all taken care of, ready to go.
Even then, they tend to have a space for you to write in whatever you want, because get this you can send it straight from their site to the recipient!
So if your hubs is away on deployment, or you kinda forgot about your favorite cousins birthday and you don't have the time to have it shipped to you and then mail it off to them you have the option to just have the website stick in the mail for you.
How easy is that?

This is the card that I ordered for Kev and I's 7 years together.
Pretty simple but it was fun to make and I liked that I got to add a picture from this year (the outside) and then a picture inside (the day we started dating).

The only "issue" that I really came across when creating a card was that an "error" would come up after I uploaded a photo letting me know the bin was too large which can cause the photo to print blurry.
I am honestly not sure how to fix something like that and it could have been because I was trying a lot of photos that I saved from facebook, but just be aware that is something you may come across.
Even then I was able to easily find pictures that would work and for curiosities sake I ordered a card with two pictures that gave me this error and it didn't come out that blurry but you could tell it was a little more grainy that the one below.

It's also pretty easy to upload photos because they give you the option to upload from your computers or straight from other social media site like Facebook and Instagram.

Of course I couldn't go through the whole store without checking out all the other cute stuff they had.
Here are some of my favorites :)

Who else out there is a card lover like me?
Would you shop at Cardstore?

Happy Tuesday!
Hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and hopefully I can update you on mine tomorrow!

Looking Back & Moving Forward.

I can't believe it's 2013!
Can you?
Where did last year go?

It's always a good idea to look back at the places you've been, but remember it's not about staying there, it's about moving on and forward.
2012 was a really great year, and I expect 2013 to be even better!
So today I am going to review my year, and then share some of my "New Years resolutions"
I use the word resolutions lightly because I think these things are things I should always be striving for/to do.

Here are some of my favorite posts for each month.

Now looking forward to 2013, and really the rest of my life I have a few "resolutions" for myself!

I want to help at least one person that I do not know a month.
This ranges for buying someone grocery or coffee to volunteering somewhere for 2-4 hours.

I want to run a race..
like a 5k or maybe even a half marathon.
I've walked several and I don't really consider the "Mud-a-lthon" we did a running race - we didn't really run, we jumped, slid, and drudged.
I think it's also important to note that I don't really like running so this is going to be a tricky one for me.

Speaking of running I just want to be better about being active and eating healthy.
I've already signed up for weekly yoga classes and have cut out pop of my morning routine.
So far, so good.

Start cooking at home more, and start packing breakfast and lunch!
We spend a decent amount of money going out to dinner,
but we spent WAY more on breakfast and lunch since we pretty much buy something for our respective cafe's everyday.

Cut back on personal shopping...
like a lot.
As I've been contimplating this resolution I realize that this is the one "bad" thing about blogging.
I see all the sweet stuff you all get, use, promote, etc and I HAVE to have it, or so I think.
Welp,  here is the end of that.

Finally, I would like to work on my communication.
Less yelling/snapping and more patience/nice tones!

Happy Thursday!

Movie Review: 50/50

So this movie might be called 50/50 but I guarantee 100% that you'll like this movie.

We all have seen the trailers on what the movie is about, but if not here is just a brief synopsis.
This is actually based on a true story and is described as a comedy, but Joseph Gordon - Levitt's character is diagnosed with cancer at age 27 and it's about his struggle dealing with the disease.

This is one of those movies that I mentally had to prepare for before watching, and I'm glad I did. The movie definitely made me cry, as to be expected with any movie dealing with cancer.  We all know someone who has dealt with cancer. It's a subject we can all relate too, but being 25 years old watching a movie about a 27 year old health freak get diagnosed hit home. Hey you 20 year old's out there it can happen to us too, just a reminder to get all your yearly tests! That all being said make sure you have a couple tissues handy, but it's probably not the worst crying you'll ever do watching a movie.

I absolutely love Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I'd say he's on my top 5 list of actors. He is stickin' cute but he's a pretty good actor. He nailed it in this movie. He is the prefect person to play this 27 year old average guy. He pulls off all the emotions you would imagine that a person would go through after finding out they have cancer.

Despite all of the sadness there are some pretty funny parts! Mainly thanks to this guy.
We all know Seth Rogen is funny, but on top of his funny moments I also think he nailed his part. He's Joseph's GL's best friend in the movie. He's a huge part of the support system for Joseph's character, and is actually the only male that is part of the system.

On top of the cancer issue Joseph's character deals with a little bit of a romance and his family!  Oh yeah, there are all kinds of little pieces and parts. Although these topics are not the main subject matter they play a bigger part in his overall life and these characters do end up being his support system...or lack there of for one of them. Who is it? I'll never tell! You gotta watch :) I think they cast a great group of people to play these roles.

Anjelica Huston as his mom.
All I can say is that every time I see her I automatically think of  the movie The Witches. None the less she did the excellent job as the worrying mother.

You all recognize Hilly from The Help right? I did not realize all the movies Bryce has been in until IMDB'ed her for this review. Despite all the big movies she's been in I feel as if though she's been given little attention or credit. Although I like Hilly better, I thought she played her part in this movie well. There could have been a bit more emotion considering the role she plays, but over all she does a nice job!

Anna Kendrick as Katherine
After this movie I really enjoy Anna has an actress. I wouldn't say she is the best out there, but she played this role extremely well. I've seen her in other movies like Twilight (she's Bella's friend Jessica), and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I was glad to see her have a big part. Although you can see what is coming from a mile away with her part, it's a pivotal one, and by the end you will love her!

I would give this movie a big ole high five. It's an emotional roller coaster ride of a movie, there is laughing, crying and everything in between! What more can you ask for? I think this could be one of my new favorites!

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Something new to Thai

Like that little play on words?! So we all know I'm a foodie (as an understatement), so I thought it be fun to start doing little restaurant "review" after going somewhere new. Letting, at least, the Cbus area dwellers know where some of the good eats are and possibly where to avoid.
Let's hope the avoiding thing is minimal since eating a bad meal is not on my list of things to do regularly!

This weekend we checked out a restaurant in the old stomping grounds of Westerville. I don't believe this little place was there when I was in school, but I wish it had been or I knew about it if it was there...either way I'm bummed I didn't get the chance to take advantage of this place when I lived in the ville. It's called Thai Grille, and it, my friends, is so good!

Granted, as long as you like (and can stomach) Thai. Lucky for me I can respond yes to both of those :)

The husbands
The wives
It's a teeny little restaurant with a great atmosphere. As it's small you do need to keep things like dinner rushes in mind if you'd like to eat there instead of carrying out.  We didn't have to wait too long but there is potential for long lines & wait times. However, being small is one of the best things about the restaurant...keeps it real.

There are local artists pieces hung around for sale. Some of which I really liked! Nothing wrong with a little local loyalty!  You can even see the kitchen from anywhere you sit (told ya it was small). A little unintentional Japanese Steakhouse style going on here :)
This is about all there is to this place!

Although I didn't get a picture of our waitress, she was awesome.  The service was very good the entire time we were there despite how chaotic things looked - drinks were refilled and the waitress even had time to be funny!

First thing we tried. The tea! Danielle & I are tea fanatics, especially in the winter time! Thai Grille has some really yummy looking, and tasting teas! Even better, they are served individually so you can try more than one or have the table try out different kinds! We tried the Manna & the Cheeky Peach. Neither were disappointing, but I do wish the Manna had had a stronger taste.

The menu is not very big but I can tell you that anything you pick would be good and it's a vegetarians dream! A lot of their dishes were vegetarian. However, they are a restaurant out to win the hearts of many as you can substitute anything you want or don't want in the dish. They also ask you how spicy you'd like your meal to be. That's also a plus in my book as I like some spicy but not a lot. The only thing they can't really change are the appetizers. We are all meat eaters so we all got something with Chicken or Beef in it. I almost wish I hadn't gotten anything with beef though. The vegetables they used were so fresh! I really liked my meal so I can't really feel terrible about my decision.
Beef Curry
Chicken Cashew Nut
Yeah, that's only two meals. I did not snap a picture of Kevin & Danielle's meals. Bad wife & friend I know, I know. They got the Pad Kee Mao and it was delicious.

The menu is a little pricey. I believe that Kevin and I spent around $50 with a couple beers, my tea, two entrees and we got the appetizer we all split on our check. Not too unreasonable I would say, and completely worth it. Yes, you can find Thai cheaper but I'm pretty sure it will not taste as good as this!

Here are a couple articles, blogs & reviews for to you look through, and solidify the fact that you want to try it!

Thai Grille - Nothing better to Do

I would highly recommend giving this place a try, you won't be sad that you did.
