Friday Letters

I am so happy that it's finally Friday!
This week has seemed absolutely insane, but I suppose this weekend isn't really going to slow us down at all. Kev and I will be all over Ohio, for birthdays and Father's Day!

Dear House Projects,
Why is that I get the motivation to do any of you when I really don't have the money to spend?
Well despite the money factor I am working on a To-Do list to kick your ass from here to kingdom come when said money is ready to be spent on you!

Dear Kev,
I loved having a late night with you catching up on tv shows.
Pillow talk is always fun :)

Dear Ann-Elyse (aka Lynn's psychic friend),
We are going to need to have another talk.
You freaked me out a little bit after what you said and just left!
Ya can't just leave a girl hanging like that?!

Dear Ohio,
Be ready for Kev and I to walk (aka drive) all over you.
We aren't doing it to be rude, we just have a lot going on.
Also, if you could keep the weather nice that'd be fanstatic!

Dear Blog Friends,
You.are.awesome!!!!
Thank you so much for all your support!

Dear Bestest,
I have had so much fun with you this summer already.
I am looking forward to all of the activities we have planned like sand volleyball, puppy park dates, shopping trips (we gotta watch out for Target though!), and watching trashy, girly reality TV shows while the boys are out being active.

Happy Friday & have a great weekend!

A Promise, some charity, & a song

Mrs Stephanie T

I'm joining a new link up today! Seemed like fun and I have some happiness floating around, so what a good way to start!

A promise:
I have decided that I am putting my foot down, and I am going to do a wedding post next week!
I am making you all this promise!
I'm not sure why this brings me such happiness, but it probably has to do with the fact I can take on a "project" without having to spend moo-la!
It will be at least one post, maybe two.
Next week people. Next. Week.

Some Charity:
Did you all see my post about Pelotonia and who I'm riding for? If not head over here and check it out. Any support is greatly appreciated.  If you are interested in donating to me check out my profile: Megan O. Rider Profile. If you don't want to donate to me that is fine, but maybe there is someone else out there that could use your support? If you are interesting in researching other profiles check it out here. There are kids riding, top leadership from several big companies, and survivors...it's really inspiring.

For those of you have read it I wanted to update you on Lynn. Lynn left the hospital after her three week stint. I am happy to report that Lynn has gone to the doctors for some tests and she is doing AWESOME! All her counts are up, and are actually doing better than they expected at this point! The real pitfalls at the moment seem to just be the fact that she really has no appetite and a hard time eating in general,  she has lost her hair, but she still looks like a bad ass, and she really has to be careful with the things she does and is constantly having to get up to wash her hands or put a mask on.
We pray that she continues to do this well, and we really have no doubts that she won't!
Things are looking up :)

A song:
This song. I love it.
Ps - I always find it hard to believe that it's a woman singing this, but I love her voice!

What's making you happy?

Happy Thursday!

How Pinteresting

This week is completely kicking my ass. So much to be done, and so little time!

So today's pins are going to be totally random because A) I didn't have time to think and organize a theme and B) because I said so. Yep, I just pulled a parent response on ya.

Weekend Recap

Whew. How did it get to be Tuesday already! Clearly my Monday was a bit hectic, as I didn't have the time to post, so I'll give ya a recap of my fabulous weekend :)

Friday night the friends and I went and saw a Girl Talk concert. Girl Talk is a DJ of sorts...he actually doesn't like to be called that, but I have no idea what else you would call him.

Anyways, he mixes common songs together into new mixes. Pretty much is concert is one huge dance party, and it's awesome. This will have been the 4th time I've seen him. The difference this time is that the concert was outside, and that fact alone made it the best one of this concerts that I've been too.
Friday was beautiful around these parts so it was great to spend a fantastic night with friends!

There he is! aka the man in the middle with the laptop in front of him.
Confetti!
Like I said his concerts are just one huge dance party.
You are constantly moving with the changing songs, you get to jump around and be a little cray cray.
So.much.fun!
So, if you are anything like me, and I know some of you are, you must go see him!

Saturday morning and afternoon were spent by the pool!
Duh!

That evening two of our good friends, Laura & Tyson, got married!
They had a beautiful (so I heard) ceremony in a park. It was a small, private wedding ceremony so only their family, and a few close friends were there.
Something pretty unqiue about their wedding is that our friend Bill (aka Boomer) was the officiant.
He became an ordained minister, and this was the first thing (I think) he's ever done with it!

The reception was at a restaurant/bar - Old Bag of Nails. It was a place we all often went during college so it was pretty neat to have all of us there again.
Their first dance song was probably one of the most fitting first dance songs I've ever heard for a couple.
Sad part is that I have no idea what the song was, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Beh!

Laura's co-worker made this amazing red velvet cake, and Laura made those little flowers!

Laura was in my sorority, and of course we had to get a picture of all the TEM ladies :)

It's always so nice seeing two people come together as a family.
These two are really great with each other and for each other!
They are a really fun, and talented couple.

I can't wait to see their life unfold together.

Sunday was spent running some errands, recovering, and little sand volleyball.
I am happy to report that during the Sunday errand running this lady got her iPad case she's been on the hunt for.
It was a great Sunday Funday, and really weekend overall.

How was your weekend?

Happy Tuesday
and quotable Tuesday will be back next week.

The Nail Files

Today I'm joining the files.
I told you all last Friday I was getting my nails done.
Even offered some options.
I went with none of them.
I wanted something a little more subtle, but still wanted to have some bright in there for the summa time :)

I love the way these turned out!!

Happy Friday and I hope everyone has a great weekend!
