Call it What You Want...

Hello everyone!

How was everyone's weekend?

Mine was a really great time, and what better way to start things off than with a concert?!

On Friday we saw The Kooks and Foster of the People.
They were so good!
I knew I liked their music before, but I like them even more after seeing them live.
The only downfall is that Friday just so happened to be the chillest night we've had in several weeks.
Go figure!
Looks like they have some really good concerts coming up, and I'll be in attendance of the Girl Talk concert this Friday!
Yep, my life is full of concerts at the moment :)
The group.

Loved getting to spend time with both of my main ladies :)

The Kooks were up first.
I like a lot of their songs. They remind me a lot of the Beatles, which is fitting since they are from England.
If you haven't heard of them I would suggest giving them a listen. Here are my top 3 favorites by The Kooks: Junk of the Heart, Naive, and Ooh La.

I have never been to an outdoor concert that was so packed!

Foster of the People are one of those bands that are even better live than they are on their CDs.
I think that is a rarity anymore with so many artists using things like AudioTunes and voice modifiers.
Anyways, I never realized how many instruments they use in their songs. It seemed like every song they had to change out some guitar or add some special drum.
They are quite the talented group!

Good thing the hubs was there to keep me warm because it was chilly.

The weekend was a success after the concert. Nothing else would have needed to happen for me to feel satisfied with my weekend activities.

Saturday was mainly full of cleaning and laundry for me.
However, since it was a pretty nice day outside and to reward myself for my hard work I had to take few breaks to explore and treat myself to some fro yo.

When I say it explore that really means walking around the pond and woods behind our house.
I love it in the spring and summer, so much green and life back there :)
ps - everyone should check out iPiccy.com, it's just like Picnik...only better!
Look out into this meadow when it's windy reminds me of the scene in Jurassic Park where the Raptors are running around and all you can see is the grass moving.

We have some massive power lines that run out back as well.

I swear these two only started off with 2 goslings!
Either they adopted or we have yet another new gaggle hanging out!

Remember how I told you that I though Ya-goot was better than Orange Leaf?
It still is :)

Finally Sunday came and my parents were down to help my sister with some new apartment tasks like hanging pictures and what not.
Since I was there to help and one of the tasks was to get her a washer and dryer guess what I knocked off my list?

Yep, a new washer & dryer for the O'Dells!!! WOOP WOOP!!
Never in my life did I think I would be so excited about getting a washer & dryer!
Ah the joys of married life and getting older lol.

These bad boys are going to be awesome!!! They will be in at the end of the month and of course you can all expect a picture :)

The rest of my Sunday was spent being lazy and watching all of our Sunday night TV shows.
Who else is sad that Game of Thrones season is over?

This weekend was a great mix of productivity and relaxation for me!
Those are always the best.

What did you guys do this weekend?

Happy Monday!

Aghhh. I'm just going to stop saying I'm jealous but the Kooks are on my top favs. I wanted to go but Dave's not really a fan of international bands which I am obsessed with haha :)
