Looking Back & Moving Forward.

I can't believe it's 2013!
Can you?
Where did last year go?

It's always a good idea to look back at the places you've been, but remember it's not about staying there, it's about moving on and forward.
2012 was a really great year, and I expect 2013 to be even better!
So today I am going to review my year, and then share some of my "New Years resolutions"
I use the word resolutions lightly because I think these things are things I should always be striving for/to do.

Here are some of my favorite posts for each month.

Now looking forward to 2013, and really the rest of my life I have a few "resolutions" for myself!

I want to help at least one person that I do not know a month.
This ranges for buying someone grocery or coffee to volunteering somewhere for 2-4 hours.

I want to run a race..
like a 5k or maybe even a half marathon.
I've walked several and I don't really consider the "Mud-a-lthon" we did a running race - we didn't really run, we jumped, slid, and drudged.
I think it's also important to note that I don't really like running so this is going to be a tricky one for me.

Speaking of running I just want to be better about being active and eating healthy.
I've already signed up for weekly yoga classes and have cut out pop of my morning routine.
So far, so good.

Start cooking at home more, and start packing breakfast and lunch!
We spend a decent amount of money going out to dinner,
but we spent WAY more on breakfast and lunch since we pretty much buy something for our respective cafe's everyday.

Cut back on personal shopping...
like a lot.
As I've been contimplating this resolution I realize that this is the one "bad" thing about blogging.
I see all the sweet stuff you all get, use, promote, etc and I HAVE to have it, or so I think.
Welp,  here is the end of that.

Finally, I would like to work on my communication.
Less yelling/snapping and more patience/nice tones!

Happy Thursday!

Do the Cap City Half Marathon! That has always been my favorite race by far!

The communication goal is a good one-- something I need to think about, too! Good luck with these :)

I hope you do we'll with your resolutions! The patience and snapping one sounds like it came from the old block of which you are a chip off. A deep breath before responding helps with the snapping and patience issues. Finding and acknowledging the good, positive, fortunate things in your life will definitely help you be a better person. Use that book that Dad got for you! Anyway....I cannot tell you how pleased I am that you are making this effort at an earlier age than I did! Don't quit even if it seems fruitless!
