Day 16-Dream house

Jeez what a question. I love looking at home magazines, in hopes of one day owning my dream home. The hardest part about your dream home though is more about where it would be located? Would I stay in Ohio, would I move to the beach, to a mountainous area, Europe?! That I don't think I could just decide on - those decisions would have to be made based on opportunity at the moment. Therefore, you're going to see a mix of decor that I wouldn't necessarily put all together - don't be alarmed I'm not that creatively challenged.

Must have an AMAZING view!
I've always had a slight obsession with my dream kitchen! I think it's one of my biggest "want" items on my list to date! I don't spend as much time in there as Kev does honestly, but regardless of that fact it's frustrating when  you have a lot of kitchen appliances and no where to put them, and no matter how much you sweep & mop the floor it always looks dirty! I like the contrast of the dark & light in this kitchen, the floors are beautiful, and look at all the storage (I LOVE islands!)

Family friendly dining area.

I think that the living room is the center of the house. The common room for everyone to be able to come sit down together. I've always had to have a comfy living room, and I absolutely need/love an open floor plan!
Finally the bed room! Not only do I have an obsession with kitchens but bedrooms as well. It's actually more an obsession with bedspreads! I come across so many bedspreads I love and my mind just runs with all the things I could do to a bedroom with that bedspread.Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn are my two favorite places to look for bedspreads! The most recent love is the picture below.
Big comfy bed - check!

I love, love, love bedspreads! Just ask Shawn, we've probably had at least a half dozen on each bed in our house. He doesn't get it, but I can't help it, I love them.

hahah I'm probably going to get to that point & beyond. I just wish that really good ones weren't a million & ten dollars lol.

Beautiful wishlist, Meg! You have some beautiful designs in mind. I hope you can someday have the house you dream about and it's filled with all the makings of a great "home".

I agree that one has to base his/her decisions on opportunity. But, I think you should consider first your desirable location for your dream house. You have an incredible idea for dream house, and it would be a waste of fortune if you realized that you built it in a wrong environment. Levi Ervin
